In this experiment I cleaned pennies with vinegar ans salt. You get a bowl and add 1/4 cup of vinegar and 1 teaspoon of salt. You mix it in the bowl until it dissolves.
What i first did was I put half of a penny for about 20 seconds. You could see the difference in the picture.
I got around 20 pennies and just added them all in there. I let them set in it for about 5 minutes and then I took them out
I took half out and put it on a napkin and the other half I rinsed off with water.
The purpose of this project was to see how the reaction between a salt and vinegar solution and pennies could turn dull pennies into shiny pennies. I didn't really think that it was going to work, when saw that it was working I was in shock. Something that I would do different is label my stuff for I won't get mixed up
If I could do this again I would change timing. What I mean by that is I would spend more time on doing it and not rush it. When I was done with the experiment There was a big difference in the pennies. I felt like I did this experiment to fast and didn't spend enough time on it like I was suppose to.
